Toho University Omori Medical Center was established as an affiliated hospital of Teikoku Women’s Medical College in 1925 and has nearly a century of history. It plays an important role as a core hospital in Tokyo, especially in the Jonan area. The concept of the hospital is to promote education for medical staff and to carry out studies and development of highly advanced medical treatment with the hope of providing patients with kind, safe, and high-quality community health care, and the medical staff work hard to achieve this.
Our hospital has established separate centers according to functions, such as the General Practice/Emergency Center, Gastrointestinal Center, Cardiovascular Center, Respiratory Organ Center, and so on, and we provide patients with medical care characterized by being more straightforward and safer. Furthermore, our hospital also continues to make efforts to promote advanced medicine and innovative medicine as an advanced treatment hospital.
As a designated regional hub hospital for treating cancer, our hospital has established a cancer center with cancer practice as one of our most important medical practices. Following our hospital’s founding principles, we provide safe and high-quality medical treatment based on excellent skills and experience and the latest facilities and knowledge, including robotic surgery, while giving full consideration to the patient’s psychological characteristics and social background.
In addition, our hospital actively receives external evaluations to guarantee the quality of the medical treatment we provide. We have received excellent results under the Japan Council for Quality Health Care (JCQHC) accreditation standards (Ver. 6.0) and from the Japan Council for Evaluation of Postgraduate Clinical Training (JCEP). We also aim to provide medical care that better reflects the position of the patient by carrying out regular patient satisfaction surveys. We believe that such an approach contributes to our hospital’s high evaluation in hospital ratings conducted by the mass media.
